To enhance the board's effectiveness in providing strategic direction for continuous improvement and competitiveness, while also monitoring performance and ensuring transparency and fair governance, four committees have been established. These committees convene for meetings at least quarterly.

The established committees and their primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Audit and Risk Management Committee: Primarily responsible for monitoring the overall risk management framework, financial reporting processes, compliance, and the internal audit function.
  • Investment & Strategy Committee: Primarily oversees investment policies, expansion strategies, and fund performance to ensure optimal outcomes for members or beneficiaries.
  • Remuneration & Human Resources Committee: This committee is mainly responsible for monitoring and approving human resources (HR) and remuneration matters, including senior management compensation, company-wide salary adjustments, talent acquisitions, and other employee-related matters.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility Committee: Delegated to oversee the implementation of CSR initiatives undertaken by our CSR arm, Alkorra for Sustainable Development NGO, ensuring alignment with our strategic CSR objectives.

Board members for these committees have been carefully selected based on their relevant expertise to ensure valuable contributions. Each committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring sound decision-making.

Company targets and goals are translated into policies, strategies, and procedures to establish the foundation for proper corporate governance and sound risk management.

Korra expects its employees to uphold the highest levels of ethical behavior and integrity. This is reflected in our code of ethical conduct, which includes the following principles:

  • Building trust and credibility

Family Governance

The Korra family has established a constitution emphasizing transparency and professional efficiency, with a focus on land reclamation and development, leadership in various industries, and sustainability.

The constitution includes their mission, vision, and values and allocates 35% of distributed profits to community and development projects.

It governs family relations and connections to the larger company family, empowering them to make a positive impact on the community. Two committees are in place to manage policies and funds for continuous development.
