To give back to our community, Korra has established Alkorra foundation for sustainable development, the companies CSR arm to impact Egyptian families and youth. Alkorra’s mission is to focus on economic development by increasing employment opportunities for the youth, help bridge the gap between the youth and the market needs, discover unique talents and support them in their projects. The NGO have contributed with many programs, initiatives, skills, courses to train and prepare the youth to the work life.

Korra proudly is a founder member at Chapter Zero Egypt (CZE), an initiative dedicated to raising climate change awareness and fostering collaboration among businesses, civil society, and stakeholders.
In 2022, responding to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development's call for private sector green transformation and in collaboration with the Alexandria Business Association (ABA), Korra Energi proudly co-founded the "Alliance of Green Transformation Partners (GTP)." This initiative aims to lead by example, inspire, and empower the Egyptian private sector in its transition towards a greener future.
To foster a culture of sustainability within our organization, we initiated this program to raise awareness among our peers and colleagues regarding the environmental benefits of sustainable practices and their positive impact on the broader community.
Key actions implemented include waste segregation and recycling, the replacement of plastic bags with paper alternatives, and the encouragement of paper conservation through digital solutions. To reduce our carbon footprint, we provide company buses for employee commuting to remote sites. Furthermore, we conduct ongoing awareness campaigns to promote sustainable practices within and outside the workplace.
We believe that collective action, even through small steps, can significantly contribute to environmental preservation.
For over 25 years, Korra Energi has been a pioneer in sustainable energy solutions, focusing on environmental stewardship. Our expertise lies in delivering energy-efficient and eco-friendly systems.
These sustainable solutions significantly contribute to increased energy efficiency and a substantial reduction in carbon emissions. Korra Energi's executed and ongoing projects have collectively reduced CO2 emissions by an estimated 600,000 tons, equivalent to removing 375,000 cars from the road each year.
By maximizing the use of energy by producing multiple forms of energy from a single source as in Co-generation and Tri-generation systems.
By utilizing waste into usable energy as in Waste Heat Recovery or Waste to Energy systems.
By capturing valuable resources that would have been lost otherwise, making energy production more efficient as in Flare Gas Recovery systems.
By reducing energy waste, and national grip dependency and by taking full advantage of economy of scale as in District Cooling and Carbon Capture systems.

Our partners in system supply have conducted extensive research and implemented initiatives to promote more efficient and sustainable product lines. Notable examples include:
Enhanced HVAC Solutions: The adoption of Mitsubishi Electric's MEHITS technology, which offers up to 30% refrigerant savings compared to traditional systems.
District Cooling Leadership: Our leadership in the district cooling market utilizing absorption chillers has resulted in a reduction of over 0.5GW of electricity consumption from the national grid.
Focus on Sustainability: We have a dedicated department focused on sustainable products and emerging eco-friendly technologies, including motion sensors and other innovative solutions
We believe that visiting real working environments and experiencing relevant theoretical concepts firsthand is a crucial part of university education. To support our belief, we offer site visits and free lectures to university students whenever possible. Our goal is to offer educational tips and share our experiences to help students develop leadership qualities and management skills, as well as gain insight into the industry's workings.
We are glad to say that our environmental efforts have not gone unnoticed. We have received recognition for projects in Egypt.

Agricultural and farming in itself positively impact the environment around us by adding greenery and as source for oxygen spreading. The more we grow and expand our green areas the more we spread our influence.
For that and as a win-win scenario, we initiated the contractual farming project, developing the mind set of small-scale farmers encouraging and training them to adopt safe & modern agriculture methods.
By providing employment opportunities for local women in strawberry picking and packing, we empower them economically, contributing to their personal and professional growth while fostering the economic development of the community.
Believing in the scarcity of water and efficient resource utilization, our farms where from the very first in Egypt introducing drip irrigation system that allows water to flow from its source to drip emitters directed to water plants resulting in huge water conservation
Following strict environmental policies and certified by Leaf Marque & SMETA, we prioritize safe crops, balanced ecosystems, and wildlife conservation.
We embrace a circular economy approach. Recycled plastics are transformed into pots for our plantations, while plant waste is repurposed as organic fertilizer. This closed-loop system minimizes waste and maximizes resource utilization.
Furthermore, 70% of our punnet materials and 100% of our cartons are sourced from recycled materials, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable packaging.
