In year 2000 Huhtamaki Egypt was formed as a limited liability company. Eng. Ayman Korra, the General Manager of Huhtamaki Egypt and a partner with 25% share, partnered with Huhtamaki, a Finish Company, for manufacturing moulded fiber egg trays and cup carriers.
The factory is located in Sadat City with six operating production lines for producing molded fiber products. As part of Huhtamaki Egypt’s long term growth strategy, the company has invested in adding new production lines with higher technologies, capacities and capabilities to produce a wider range of products, thus not only expanding and growing the company’s sales but also its product range.
Huhtamaki Egypt is always on the look for capitalizing opportunities that lay ahead.
Huhtamaki Egypt has become a market leader due to its quality product. They are not limited to the local market but also export to other countries in Europe, Africa and neighboring countries.
With sustainability as a key lever, they have set goals and strategies to achieve their ambition to become the first choice for sustainable packaging solutions. And in recognition to that, Huhtamaki received a rating of A (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment in 2022 and was awarded the Gold medal by EcoVadis for performance in sustainability in 2023. Additionally, in 2022 Huhtamaki scored 67 points in the annual S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) ranking them at the 8th out of 64 companies assessed in the Containers & Packaging Industry.
